Original Research Papers

Full-length papers reporting original empirical or theoretical research with complete methodology and findings.

Case Studies

In-depth investigations of educational interventions, programs, or instructional innovations in real settings.

Literature Reviews

Systematic or narrative reviews synthesizing existing research and identifying future research directions.

Short Communications

Brief reports of preliminary findings, novel methods, or thought-provoking perspectives (3,000 words max).

📄 Manuscript Preparation

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English.
  2. Original Research: 5,000 – 8,000 words (excl. references)
  3. Literature Reviews: up to 10,000 words
  4. Case Studies: 3,000 – 5,000 words
  5. Use APA 7th Edition format for citations & references
  6. File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF
  7. Maximum file size: 20 MB
  8. Double-spaced, 12pt font, 1" margins

🧩 Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, emails, ORCID
  2. Abstract: 150 – 250 words summarizing the study
  3. Keywords: 5 – 7 keywords
  4. Introduction: Background, research gap, objectives
  5. Methodology: Design, participants, instruments, analysis
  6. Results / Findings
  7. Discussion: Interpretation, implications, limitations
  8. Conclusion & References (APA 7th Ed.)

🔍 Peer Review Process

NACIAN Journal follows a rigorous, multi-stage review workflow to ensure published research meets the highest scholarly standards:

Stage 1: Initial Screening (Editorial Office)
All submissions are first screened for scope, formatting, originality, and adherence to guidelines. Papers that do not meet basic criteria will receive a desk rejection.
~ 3 – 5 business days
Stage 2: Double-Blind Peer Review
Qualified manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent peer reviewers with relevant expertise. Neither reviewers nor authors know each other's identities.
~ 4 – 6 weeks
Stage 3: Editorial Decision (Associate Editor)
Based on reviewer recommendations, the Associate Editor decides to: Accept, Accept with Minor Revisions, Request Major Revisions, or Reject.
~ 1 week after reviews complete
Stage 4: Author Revision (if applicable)
Authors invited to revise must respond to each reviewer comment point-by-point and upload a revised manuscript within the specified deadline.
~ 2 – 4 weeks
Stage 5: Final Approval & Copyediting
Editor-in-Chief grants final approval. Accepted articles proceed through professional copyediting and proofreading.
~ 2 weeks
Stage 6: Publication
The article is published online in the current volume/issue as open access, with DOI assignment and full indexing.
Published immediately after final proof
